Rotherhithe Station, London – one of 4 stations refurbished by WSA for London Overground. Collectively the stations won the National Rail Heritage Award 2010. A new structure behind the existing Victorian ticket hall was built over the escalators. This is invisible from the street. It has a stepped sedum roof providing additional habitat for wildlife. The planted roof is visible to passengers on the escalators through the stepped glazing.
